Books Lead Voice Over for William Winckler Productions

Lead Villain Voice-Over Role

I am extremely honored to be called back by William Winckler Productions for yet another voice-over role for the lead villain in one of Japan's top 3 franchises of all time! Unfortunately I can't talk about the actual project until it comes out publicly, but I can assure you, it has a massive fan-base of well over 25M fans!

William Winckler keeps calling me back to play villain roles because I have a deep voice and can manipulate it to sound a different varying degree of "creepy" or funny characters. Sometimes it shreds up my voice so much that I can't speak much the next day. Sometimes I need to drink and gargle a LOT of tea with honey and sugary drinks to keep my throat moist.

In preparation for these characters, I do vocal warm-ups hitting different ranges of characters I can create. I also speak each syllable of dialogue with a cork in my mouth and hit my tongue on the back of it which helps pronounce the words much cleaner. The audience MUST be able to understand each and every syllable unless specifically asked to not do so due to the script or character.

Also, if you're having issues with your "Tsk" or hitting harsh "S's" in your dialogue, you can help to eliminate that by slicing green apples and sucking on them before speaking your dialogue into mic. I am also adamant about using Pop Filters in front of your mic to help eliminate some of the peak in your "P's".
